Born and raised in Jupiter, Florida, Catherine was immersed in architecture and design as the daughter of renowned local architect Tom Kirchhoff, of Kirchhoff & Associates Architects. Catherine spent her time interning for K&AA, as well as assisting local interior designers on installs. From there she obtained a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Miami in 2008. Upon graduation, Catherine continued her education in classical architecture in New York City working for AD top 100 firms such as Gil Schafer, Oliver Cope and Peter Pennoyer Architects.

In 2017, Catherine founded Catherine O’Kane Design, LLC designing timeless and elegant architectural and interior details. COD has a particular focus on both the intrinsic flow of a home, as well the design and proportion of custom millwork, and interior finishes. With residential projects ranging from Maine, Nantucket, New York, and Hobe Sound, Catherine O'Kane welcomes the opportunity to make your next project home.
